Der in London lebende Lookman Adekunle Salami, auch bekannt als L.A. Salami, nahm die 14 Songs für »The City Of Bootmakers« mit Robbie Moore in Berlin auf. Der junge Künstler mit Wurzeln in Nigeria zeichnet ein kritisches Bild der sozialen und bildungspolitischen Situation der Gesellschaft, speziell in London, und hinterfragt die Steuerung der Bevölkerung durch die machthabenden Kräfte.
Allein schon die Titel wie »England is Unwell«, »Generation L(ost)« oder »Terrorism! (The Isis Crisis)« sprechen eine deutliche Sprache, die Melodien hingegen gehen ins Ohr und in die Beine.
