Die amerikanische Rockband King's X verbindet progressiven Metal, Funk und Soul mit Gesangsarrangements, die von Gospel, Blues und British-Invasion-Rockgruppen beeinflusst sind. Immer wiederkehrende Themen sind ihre Kämpfe mit Religion und Selbstakzeptanz. Während ihrer Major-Label-Karriere bei Megaforce Records spielten King's X im Vorprogramm von Bands wie Cheap Trick, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Scorpions, Pearl Jam und Mötley Crüe.
1990 veröffentlichten sie ihr drittes Studioalbum »Faith Hope Love«, das auf Platz 85 der Billboard Top 200 Album Charts einstieg. Die Single »It's Love« erreichte Platz 6 der Billboard Singles Chart. Auf den Titeln »Mr. Wilson« und »Faith Hope Love« sind die Galactic Cowboys zu hören, die den Backgroundgesang beisteuerten.
