King Crimson: Radical Action

Here I bought a concert release of English prog rock grandees in Germany for the occasion
King Crimson – Radical Action to Unseat the Hold of Monkey Mind. I've been meaning to
buy this particular edition, because it is for me quite good in terms of composition and performance.
The band then released another live album on BLU-RAY, where a show from Mexico was recorded. Well me
the 2016 release is better musically. The band has been around for more than 50 years, and all the fans
art and prog rock naturally know her. This live box set was recorded during the King Crimson tours
2015 in Japan, Canada and France, mainly in the Japanese city of Takamatsu. The material was performed in
mostly in the period 1969-1974, and most of them have not been performed live since the 1970s, although the songs
were re-arranged to match the current line-up, and included some hits from 1995 onwards,
along with new material. The name of the box comes from the song of the same name that the band performed
at a concert. Video 1080p, but still looks soft, besides the musicians do not use any lights
and special effects, but at the concert as many as three drummers) But the sound is awesome, I liked it – there is also DTS HD
and high-rate LPCM 5.1, the cymbals are ringing! Thick CD-size box, where complete with 3CD+1BLU-RAY
in black bags. The show goes on for almost three hours, there are a couple of songs in the extras, there is a pop menu,
but it is inconvenient – it gets out all at once: all songs, extras, and sound selection in one long line.

Sensationell!
Bahnbrechende Musik über Jahrzehnte im Live-Konzert zusammengefasst. Auch die Video-Konzertaufnahme finde ich richtungsweisend und entspricht dem Ansatz der Musiker.

Fantastisch

Mir waren einige KC-Stücke immer zu sperrig, so dass ich außer "In the court..." und "Red" kaum ein komplettes Album von KC durchgehalten habe. Auch hier habe ich zunächst nur CD 2 und 3 komplett durchgehört, bei CD 1 und der BluRay wurde ich nach kurzer Zeit recht ungeduldig und habe mir nur selektiv einige Tracks angehört. Nach einigen Anläufen habe ich mich dann aber aufgerafft, geduldig auch die Stücke zu hören -oder besser: mittels der BluRay zu sehen und zu hören-, die mir zu Anfang nicht wirklich gefallen hatten. Und siehe da: ich fing an, Details zu entdecken, die mir vorher noch nicht aufgefallen waren bzw. Strukturen wahrzunehmen, die ich vorher überhört hatte. Mit jedem Mal gefielen mir gerade diese "sperrigen" Stücke immer besser und besser. Auch jetzt ist immer noch nicht jeder KC-Song für mich eine Offenbarung, aber ich kann nur sagen, es sind grandiose Songs dabei, auch die unterschiedliche Abfolge der Stücke auf den CDs im Vergleich zur BluRay ist einfach eine super Sache, die man auf sich wirken lassen sollte. Und der Klang ist hervorragend. Mit einem Wort: Fantastisch!

erstklassig !!!! Exzellent performte Musik aus allen Phasen der Bandgeschichte mit Video für den besonderen Livegenuss. Prog at bis best. auch Steven Wilson - Fans sollten unbedingt zugreifen !!!
