Mit »Journey: Live In Manila« legt die Rockband 2016 den Livemitschnitt ihres legendären Konzertes in Manila neu auf. Und nicht nur das: Zum ersten Mal überhaupt gibt es die Performance auch als Album auf CD sowie erstmals außerhalb der USA auch auf Blu-ray.
Ursprünglich war »Journey: Live In Manila« bereits 2009 erschienen, damals allerdings nur auf DVD. Der Mitschnitt zeigt das Konzert der Band am 14. März 2009 in der SM Mall in Manila, der Hauptstadt der Philippinen. Die Aufnahmen wurden mithilfe von 4K-Kameras aufgezeichnet – für eine brillante Bildqualität.
An diesem Abend spielten Journey neben einigen Songs ihres 2008er-Albums »Revelation« auch zahlreiche Klassiker, darunter »Don’t Stop Believin’«, »Be Good To Yourself«, »Stone In Love«, »Open Arms«, »Faithfully«, »Still They Ride«, »When You Love A Woman«, »Any Way You Want It«, »Lovin’, Touchin’, Squeezin’« und viele mehr.
Sage und schreibe 26 Songs spielten Neal Schon (Leadgitarre), Jonathan Cain (Keyboards, Rhythmusgitarre), Ross Valory (Bass), Deen Castronovo (Schlagzeug, Percussions) und der erst 2007 zur Band gestoßene Sänger Arnel Pineda bei dem Konzert. Das gibt es jetzt mit »Journey: Live In Manila« wieder auf DVD, Blu-ray sowie im Set auf DVD und Doppel-CD.
Endlich wieder erhältlich: »Journey: Live In Manila« ist der großartige Livemitschnitt ihres legendären Auftrittes auf den Philippinen.
