Parallel zu seiner Mitgliedschaft bei Jefferson Airplane gründete Jorma seine eigene Band Namens Hot Tuna, mit der er bis heute immer noch tourt.

Die Rockpalast Show fand am 29. November 1980 in der Kleinen Westfalenhalle in Dortmund statt, einen Tag nach John Cipollina – ein kleines Bay Area Music Festival.
