Old Omens präsentiert »High On Tulsa Heat« von John Moreland am 15.01.16 Moreland was Anfang der 2010er Mitglied der gelobten Black Gold Band und der Dust Bowl Souls.
Er kam über den Umweg Hardcore und Punk - er nahm sogar mal mit Stephen Egerton (Descendents, All) auf - zurück zu den Roots, dem unverfälschten klassischen amerikanischen Songwriting.
Sein drittes Album Solo-Album erscheint via Thirty Tiger und so darf man ihn zumindest in den Staaten die Bühne mit seinen Labelmates Jason Isbell, Patty Griffin oder Dawes sehen.
Die von ihm produzierten 10 Songs werden von schillernden Gaststars begleitet: Jesse Aycock (Hard Working Americans, Secret Sisters), John Calvin Abney (Samantha Crain, The Damn Quails), Jared Tyler (Malcolm Holcombe), Chris Foster und Kierston White.
