The Good Samaritan Tour 2000 wird am 27. August auch auf dem YouTube-Kanal von Turner Classic Movie (TCM) zu sehen sein, wo Mellencamp im September als Gastmoderator auftritt.
Der Dokumentarfilm, der von Oscar®-Preisträger Matthew McConaughey gesprochen wird, berichtet von Mellencamps historischer Tournee im Jahr 2000, bei der er kostenlos in öffentlichen Parks und auf öffentlichen Plätzen im ganzen Land auftrat. Der Film wurde von Federal Films produziert, von John Mellencamp und Randy Hoffman produziert, von Shan Dan Horan inszeniert, von Andy York gemischt und mit besonderen Beiträgen von Nora Guthrie versehen.
