Das lang erwartete Comebackalbum
Zehn Jahre haben die Fans von Ian Brown auf diesen Moment gewartet: Der britische Rockmusiker, Songwriter und ehemalige Stone-Roses-Sänger veröffentlicht 2019 ein neues Soloalbum: »Ripples« heißt der Nachfolger von »My Way«, das bereits 2009 erschien.Zehn neue Songs hat Brown für die Platte aufgenommen, die er zudem auch selbst produzierte. Drei Songs schrieb er zusammen mit seinem Sohn, der auch eine Vielzahl der Instrumente auf »Ripples« einspielte.
Mit »Black Rose« und »Break Down The Walls« gibt es außerdem zwei Coversongs von den jamaikanischen Musikikonen Barrington Levy und Mikey Dread.
Einen ersten Vorboten von »Ripples« schickte Brown bereits mit der Single »First World Problems« ins Rennen.
