»Road Trips Vol. 2 No. 2-Carousel 2-14-68« ist einfach eine der großartigsten Grateful Dead Live-Aufnahmen aller Zeiten. Set 2, das über das Radio ausgestrahlt wurde, war lange Zeit ein fester Bestandteil der Sammlung eines jeden Tapers. Wesentliche Teile davon wurden für das Dead-Album »Anthem of the Sun« verwendet.
Die verblüffende »Born CrossEyed«/»Spanish Jam«/»Alligator«-Sequenz ist so gut wie Improvisationsrock nur sein kann. Als Bonus gibt es mit »Good Morning Little School Girl« und »Turn On Your Love Light« auch feine Pigpen-Aufnahmen.
