Geoff Muldaur ist ein amerikanischer Singer / Songwriter, dessen Karriere Mitte der 60s in der Jim Kweskin Jug Band begann. Geoff war zudem Mitglied der Paul Butterfields Band.
Er ist außerdem ein angesehener Gitarrist, Komponist und Arrangeur.
Dieses 2-CD-Set, von den Schatztruhen von Hightone Records stammend, präsentiert The Secret Handshake, ursprünglich 1998 erschienen, und damit eine Reihe von hochkarätigen Mitspielern wie David Grisman, Hal Ketchum, Bill Rich, Amos Garrett, Dave Alvin und Van Dyke Parks.
»The Secret Handshake« greift auf eine Reihe seiner favorisierten Country und Blues Songs zurück und fügt diesen einige eigene Titel hinzu.
»Password« erschien ursprünglich 2000, hierbei wurde er von David Lindley, Richard Greene, und Kate und Anna McGarrigle unterstützt. Die Songs selber sind eine Mischung aus Klassikern und Muldaur Originalen.
