Nach dem großen Achtungserfolg »Molok« aus dem Jahr 2015, das von der Presse hochgelobt wurde, veröffentlichen die norwegischen Art-Rocker nun mit »Soyuz« ihr neues Studioalbum. Die Band ist es gewohnt mit bizarren Headlines versehen zu werden, so schrieb The Independent zum Vorgängeralbum: »Ein Album, das die Welt zerstören könnte«. Dies kommt nicht von ungefähr, denn die konzeptionelle Ausrichtung von Gazpacho ist beim Songwriting jedes mal aufs Neue vielseitig, tiefgründig und fesselnd. »Soyuz« ist ein Konzeptalbum, wobei die einzelnen Songs eine zusammenhängende Geschichte erzählen.
