Frost* wurde 2004 von Keyboarder und Sänger Jem Godfrey gegründet, und »Experiments In Mass Appeal« ist ihr zweites Album von 2008. Es zeichnete sich durch einen deutlich reduzierteren Sound, prägnantere Songs und ein neues Bandmitglied und Sänger in Form von Dec Burke aus.
Diese Wiederveröffentlichung von 2021 bietet den remixten und remasterten Sound, der auf der »13 Winters«-Sammlung von 2020 enthalten ist. Es ist das erste Mal, dass dieses Album auf Vinyl veröffentlicht wird.
