"All The Truth That I Can Tell", das neunte Studioalbum von Dashboard Confessional, das noch vor der Corona Pandemie geschrieben und aufgenommen wurde, ist sowohl eine bemerkenswerte Rundumerneuerung als auch ein beträchtlicher Schritt vorwärts für Chris Carrabba.
Nachdem er in den letzten 20 Jahren große Erfolge gefeiert hatte, war Carrabba am Ende des letzten Jahrzehnts an einem Scheideweg angekommen. Er war am Ende seiner Kräfte und wusste nicht, ob er jemals wieder ein Album veröffentlichen würde. Also wartete er. Schließlich kamen die Songs und obwohl das Projekt nach einem beinahe tödlichen Motorradunfall im Juni 2020 leicht zum Stillstand hätte kommen können, zählt "All The Truth That I Can Tell" zu Carrabbas besten Werken. Es ist sowohl eine Errungenschaft von Carrabas Vision als auch ein vitaler Ausbruch künstlerischer Klarheit, ein auffallend starker musikalischer Blick auf Dashboard Confessional durch ein wiederentdecktes Schlüsselloch. Für die Produktion des Albums wandte sich Carrabba an James Paul Wisner, der die ersten beiden Studioalben der Band, "The Swiss Army Romance" und "The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most", produziert hat.
