Carter The Unstoppable Sex Machine waren in den frühen 90er Jahren ein Synonym für die Indie-Punk-Szene mit einer Reihe von Top-Ten-Singles und -Alben. Mit einer treuen Fangemeinde spielten sie immer wieder vor ausverkauften Häusern.

»30 Something« war Carters zweites Album. Ursprünglich im Februar 1991 veröffentlicht, erreichte es Platz 8 der britischen Charts und brachte die Singles »Anytime Anyplace Anywhere« und »Bloodsport For All« hervor. Mit Anspielungen auf The Clash und Bowie enthielt das Album die für die Band charakteristischen Wortspiele und den knurrigen Punk-Gesang, der sich mit harmonischen Gitarren abwechselte. Das Album wurde vom NME mit 10 / 10 bewertet und belegte Platz 8 auf der Liste der Alben des Jahres 1991.

Diese Deluxe-Version enthält 3CDs und eine DVD in einer Clamshell-Box mit einem Poster-Booklet. Der gesamte Audioinhalt wurde neu gemastert. Das Paket enthält auch das »In Bed With Carter Live«-Konzert aus Brixton 1991. Dieses Konzert war bisher nur auf VHS erhältlich und ist mit einem neuen Kommentar von Jim Bob und Fruitbat sehr begehrt.
