The Blues Busters waren ein jamaikanisches Gesangsduo, das im Jahr 1960 gegründet wurde und aus Philip James und Lloyd Campbell bestand. Sie waren eines der beliebtesten männlichen Duos der frühen 1960er Jahre in Jamaika und Teil der jamaikanischen Gruppe von Musikern, die 1964 bei der New Yorker Weltausstellung auftraten. Am Anfang arbeiteten sie zunächst in Kabarettshows für Touristen in Kingston und der Nordküste Jamaikas und erreichten ihren großen Durchbruch, als sie die Einladung bekamen Sam Cooke auf seiner Insel Tour zu begleiten. Inspiriert von Sam Cooke nahmen sie eine Reihe von Soul- und Reggae-Coverversionen auf, die sich zu kleineren Hits entwickelten.
