The Blasters sind eine 1979 von den Brüdern Phil Alvin (Gesang und Gitarre) und Dave Alvin (ebenfalls Gesang und Gitarre) gegründete Rock ’n’ Roll Band. Ihre von ihnen selbst so genannte »American Music« war eine Mischung aus Blues, Rockabilly, frühem Rock ’n’ Roll, Punk Rock, und Rhythm & Blues.
Dieses Live-Set wurde 2004 aufgenommen und präsentiert das originale Lineup, live im Santa Ana Galaxy Theatre, dem alten südkalifornischen Treffpunkt der Band.
