Die Pub Rocker Ace aus UK wurden im Jahr 1975 mit ihrer Single ›How Long‹ bekannt, die in den USA ein Top 3 Hit und in UK ein Top 20 Hit war. ›Five-A-Side‹ stieg ebenfalls in die Billboard Top 20 Album Charts ein. Gegründet von früheren Mitglieder von The Action und Warm Dust, lösten sich die Band 1977 bereits wieder auf. Der Sänger Paul Carrack stieß zunächst zu der Band Squeeze, bevor er sich seiner immer noch andauernden Solokarriere widmete.
