Das Sounddesign von Boris Blank reflektiert eine höchst ästhetisierte, bis ins Kleinste durchdachte, von Funkgitarrenriffs und beinahe klassisch zu nennenden Fairlight-Sounds geprägte, gern mit so attraktiven wie stimmgewaltigen Sängerinnen und dada-nahen Samples garnierte, in jedem Fall aber ganz und gar charakteristische (und über die Zeiten auch sehr wertkonservative) Vorstellung von purer Schönheit. Das war schon 1979 beim nervösen "Bostich" so und ist heute bei "You Better Hide" (mit der hinreißenden, uns Auskennern natürlich längst vertrauten, weil als Solistin oder bei Zwicker höchst angenehm in Erscheinung getretenen Heidi Happy am Mikro) nicht anders.
