Zeitgleich mit Woodstock 40 werden zwei Standardwerke neu veröffentlicht, die bislang als bedeutendste Woodstock-Mitschnitte galten, nämlich Woodstock, Music From The Original Soundtrack And More, und Woodstock Two. Beide Alben sind nach den Originaltapes remastert und erscheinen jeweils als Doppel-CD mit neuen Deluxe-Booklets, das bisher unveröffentlichtes Fotomaterial und brandneue Liner-Notes enthält. Woodstock erschien erstmals 1970 als Drei-LP-Soundtrack zum Wadleigh-Film mit 18 Tracks, Woodstock Two kam als Doppelalbum mit 16 Songs im Jahre 1971 und ergänzte die Woodstock-Experience.
