Und das nicht etwa vor einer kleinen Schar treu ergebener und in Würden ergrauter Alt–68er, sondern vor einem erstaunlich gesunden Mix aus Jung und erfreulich jung Gebliebenen. 1969 gegründet, betraten Ausnahmegitarrist Andy Powell und seine Mannen die Bühnenbretter dieser Welt erstmals 1970. Blues, Jazz und English Folk war ihr Leitmotto, das sie in einer einzigartigen Weise zum einzigartigen Ash-Sound verbanden.
