White Denim, das sind Joshua Block, James Petralli und Steve Terebecki, die sich 2006 in Austin, Texas gegründet haben und nun seit September 2010 von Austin Jenkins an der Gitarre verstaerkt werden. Mit ihrer Symbiose aus Blues Rock, Punk & Garage haben White Denim bereits in der Vergangenheit für Aufsehen gesorgt.
Nach ausgedehnten Tourneen, zahlreichen EPs und Alben, die die Band in Eigenregie veröffentlicht haben, stellt "D" nun das neue Album in der Diskografie der Band dar.
White Denim selbst sagt über die Arbeiten von "D":
"We decided that we wanted to make a record that was representative of the hard rock music that we heard in our minds when we imagined ourselves as a hard rock band. I think that what we ended up writing ultimately ranges from hard to soft, while featuring a couple of medium hards amidst so as to achieve a more balanced whole."
