„‘Infini’ wird wohl das letzte Lebenszeichen von VOIVOD unter diesem Namen sein und - ich darf es vorweg nehmen - es ist ein schönes Abschiedsgeschenk an die Fans. Vom ersten Ton an ist erkennbar, dass man ein VOIVOD-Album hört, sprich die schrägen Gitarrenriffs und unvergleichlich hypnotische Stimme Snakes prägen die 13 Kompositionen, während die VENOM- und MOTÖRHEAD-Einflüsse unterschwellig immer wieder hervorlugen. Fans von Klassikern wie ’Nothingface’, ’Killing Technology’ oder ’Dimension Hätröss’ dürften ‘Infini’ lieben. Danke nach Kanada: Ihr habt alles richtig gemacht!“ HEAVY (10 / 12 Punkte).

Last goodbye ?

"Infini" klingt wesentlich dreckiger und rotziger als der Vorgänger "Kartoz" und erinnert stellenweise an "The Outer Limits", mit einem Schuss "Phobos" und Motörhead zu "Overkill"-Zeiten. Auch wenn die Band ihren Zenit hörbar überschritten hat, heben sich VOIVOD immer noch angenehm von der Masse ab und gehen musikalisch ihren eigenen Weg.
Sicherlich ist "Infini" kein Killeralbum, aber für echte VOIVOD-Fans die seit War and Pain und Rrröööaaarrr mit im Voivod-Universum unterwegs sind, führt kein Weg an dieser Platte vorbei.
