Rockabilly und Country im Stile großartiger Raritäten

That's Dynamite! In erster Linie spielen Tommy Flash & The Smoking Guns klassischen, stampfenden Rockabilly und Country - desperate and authentic (Anmerkung: kein Wunder, die Scheibe wurde in den Black Shack Studios aufgenommen).
Von großen Legenden, wie Johnny Horton, dem Man in Black oder Bill Watkins infiziert oder von weniger bekannten Hobos geprägt (welche in den 50's einige regionale Erfolge verbuchen konnten) ist der Sound von Tommy Flash authentisch und überzeugt auf eigene Art und Weise. Die Songs klingen düster und stampfen in einer eigenen unverwechselbaren Atmosphäre, welche vermutlich daher rührt, dass diese Combo aus allesamt erfahrenen Musikern besteht.
Meine persönlichen Favoriten und Anspielempfehlungen der Platte sind "I'm A Hobo" (Danny Reeves) und "Black Train" (Rudy Thacker)
Alles in Allem eine Band welche durch Songauswahl, Darbietung, spielerisches "Know How" und Vintagestimmung begeistert. Thumbs UP!
