Bad Reputation erreichte Platz 4 im Vereinigten Königreich, wurde schnell mit Gold ausgezeichnet und war auch ein beachtlicher Erfolg für die skandinavische Fangemeinde der Band, denn es erreichte die Top 10 in Schweden und die Top 15 in Norwegen. Auf der anderen Seite des Atlantiks erreichte das Album die gleiche 11-wöchige Hitparade wie Johnny The Fox und brachte Lizzy zumindest wieder in die Top 40 der Billboard-LP-Charts, nämlich auf Platz 39. Als Erinnerung an ihr früheres amerikanisches Glück wurde Jailbreak dann von der RIAA mit Gold ausgezeichnet.
