Sub Pop feiert das 10. Bandjubiläum der Thermals mit dem Re-Issue der drei Thermals-Sub Pop-Alben auf Vinyl. Dies ist das Debütalbum der Band, das im März 2003 auf Sub Pop erschien, nachdem Ben Gibbard von Death Cab For Cutie und The Postal Service den entscheidenden Tipp gegeben hatte.
Die Thermals entstanden 2002 in der Küche von Sänger Hutch Harris. Im gleichen Sommer wurden The Thermals zu einer Rockband aus Fleisch und Blut mit Kathy Foster am Bass, Jordan Hudson am Schlagzeug und Ben Barnett von Kind Of Spitting an der Gitarre.
“More Parts Per Million“ hat sich über 12.000 Mal verkauft und war als Vinyl seit Jahren out of Print. Chris Walla von Death Cab For Cutie zeigt sich für das Mischen des Albums verantwortlich.
