Begleitet von den Linernotes von Lloyd Bradley, Autor des Buchs "Bass Culture - When Reggae Was King", widmet sich die Compilation den Rocksteady-Aufnahmen des Labels unter dem Produzenten Clement Sir Coxsone Dodd, aber auch den ersten Tönen des Reggae, der sich Ende der 1960er-Jahre aus dem Rocksteady heraus zu entwickeln begann.
