"Separations" was recorded in 1989 but not released until 1992 and was the birth of the modern PULP. It is the same line up that broke through into the mainstream and the album contains exactly the fusion of genres that would take them to the top of the charts in the mid-'90s. Influenced by acid house and raves the band delivers the disco groove of "Countdown" and the long jam "This House Is Condemned." The hypnotic "My Legendary Girlfriend" was the band's first 'Single of the Week' in NME and is, along "Love Is Blind" and "Countdown", the outstanding track on "Separations", which is the first album that illustrates the band's potential and exactly what it could accomplish.[DUT]Tracklist: 1.
