Hinter dieser Band steht niemand geringeres als Barry Goudreau, zuvor Lead Gitarrist bei Boston, der sich Schlagzeuger Michael De Rosier (Ex-Heart), Bassist Bruce Smith und am Gesang Fran Cosmo mit ins Boot holte, der ironischerweise einige Zeit nach Orion The Hunter bei Boston einsteigen sollte.
Ein Jahr dauerte die Entstehung dieser großartigen Songs, bei denen die Musiker selbst als Produzenten agierten. Eine gewisse Ähnlichkeit des Sounds zu dem von Boston liegt nah, was wohl zum größten Teil an der Gitarrenarbeit von Barry Goudreau liegt.
Somit ist diese CD für Fans von Boston und ähnlichen Vertreten dieser Schule wie den Scorpions, Journey oder Thriumph gewiss kein Fehlkauf.

THE DEBUT Boston album is not only regarded as one of the greatest rock albums of all time but it is also one of the biggest sellers. Its influence was all pervasive and set the standards for years to come. After leaving Boston at the height of their success, guitarist Barry Goudreau set about forming a new outfit, named, rather enigmatically, Orion The Hunter. Featuring lead vocalist Fran Cosmo - a man who would, somewhat ironically, later go on to actually join Boston - bassist Bruce Smith and former Heart drummer Michael DeRosier, the quartet spent nearly a year crafting a selection of songs that formed the basis of a quite remarkable album.
