Die Band nahm die gesamte Wucht und Energie ihrer Live-Shows mit in den Aufnahmeprozess, um ganz bewusst eine neue Sturm und Drang Phase mit dieser Platte einzuleiten. Das geht beim Album-Opener "Clear Eye, Clouded Mind" los und zieht sich wie ein roter Faden durch das ganze Werk.
