Marvin Rainwater war zu einem Viertel Cherokee-Indianer – und ein reinrassiger Sänger! Und er war jemand, der Musik etwas links von der Mitte machte. Er war ein Countrysänger der besonderen Art und auch der etwas andere Rock 'n’ Roller. Seinen größten Erfolg feierte er mit ‚Gonna Find Me A Bluebird’. Doch es gibt hier noch viel mehr, z. B. ‚The Pale Face Indian’, später als ‚Indian Reservation’ wiederbelebt. Diese Edition beginnt mit einer Demo-Aufnahme, die an jenem Tag entstand, als Hank Williams starb und liefert dann sämtliche Aufnahmen, einschließlich jener Für Warner Bros., bis ins Jahr 1969. Die Duett-Session mit Connie Francis ist dabei sowie wahnsinnige Rock 'n’ Roll- Aufnahmen wie ‚Hot And Cold’, ‚Whole Lotta Woman’, ‚I Dig You Baby’, ‚Mr. Blues’ und ‚Half Breed’ - alles, was man von einem Einzelgänger wie ihm hören möchte!
