25 Jahre ist ihr Debütalbum mittlerweile alt. Sechs weitere Alben konnte sie bislang fertig stellen und drei Grammy's gewinnen. Kaum zu glauben, dass es noch nie ein Live-Album gab. Zumindest bis jetzt. Die drei Konzerte vom 20., 21. und 22. November 2003 in San Francisco's legendären Fillmore Auditorium wurden mitgeschnitten, Lucinda selbst suchte insgesamt 22 Tracks aus, die auf Live @ The Fillmore zu hören sind. Begleitet wird sie von Gitarrist und Background Sänger Doug Pettibone, Bassist Taras Prodaniuk und Jim Christie an Schlagzeug und Percussions.

2003 habe ich sie zum erstenmal live gesehen und gehört. Ein wirkliches Bild von der Frau konnte man sich anhand der Plattenveröffentlichungen nicht machen - und als dann diese herbe, schwarzgekleidete Blondine mit der struppigen Frisur auf die Bühne kam, dachte ich sofort: so müßte wohl Keith' kleine Schwester aussehen. Das Set begann akustisch und steigerte sich langsam - und als Lu sich dann die Tele umhängte, ging es zur Sache. ROCK - und wie! Die Band ist großartig: vor allem Doug Pettibone an der Leadguitar ist unglaublich intensiv und drückt jedem Song seinen Stempel auf. Überhaupt merkt man (und ich spreche jetzt von der CD), daß die Band die Songs mittlerweile roadtauglich gemacht hat - alles klingt runder und zupackender als auf den Studio-CDs. Vor allem Lus Stimme: rauh, zärtlich, wütend, verletzt, klar, krächzend - aber immer so, daß ihre Gefühle direkt 'rüberkommen und dem Zuhörer Gänsehaut verursachen. "Blue" als einer der vielen Höhepunkte, oder "Out of Touch", das hart rockende "Essence", "American Dream", "World without Tears" - Juwelen allesamt. Und es ist ja nicht nur der dichte Sound, der den Zuhörer so packt, es sind auch die Texte - nach oder mit Dylan das Beste überhaupt. Nach dem Konzert damals tobte das Publikum vor Begeisterung - wir hätten Lu auf den Schultern durch die Stadt tragen können...Die beiden CDs sollte man LAUT hören!
