Shine ist das 19. Studioalbum von Joni Mitchell und wurde 2007 bei Castle Oaks Productions von Dan Marnien aufgenommen. Es war das erste Album mit neuen Liedern seit Taming The Tiger von 1998, auf dem 10 neue von Joni geschriebene Lieder zu hören sind, sowie ein Gastauftritt ihres langjährigen Freundes James Taylor und eine aktualisierte Version ihrer Single Big Yellow Taxi von 1970.
Shine wurde von der RIAA mit Gold zertifiziert und gewann 2008 den Grammy Award für die beste Pop-Instrumental-Darbietung für One Week Last Summer.
