Die Erfolgsgeschichte der Bootleg Serie geht weiter: Nach Johnny Cashs "Personal File" (aka Bootleg Vol. 1) und dem nicht weniger authentischen Nachfolger "From Memphis To Hollywood: Bootleg Vol. 2" vom Februar 2011 erscheint nun "Bootleg 3: Live Around the World".

Teil 3 der Serie ist eine Sammlung rarer und unveröffentlichter Live Aufnahmen, eine echte Reise in der Zeit: Angefangen bei seinen ersten Tagen "on the road" in den 50ern über Aufnahmen vom Newport Folk Festival (1964) und Vietnam (1969) bis hin zu seinem Auftritt im Weißen Haus in Washington, D. C. 1970.

Insgesamt finden sich auf den 2 CDs über 50 Aufnahmen, 39 davon bis dato unveröffentlicht. Abgerundet wird das Produkt durch ein hochwertiges Booklet mit Liner Notes.

Johnny Cash Bootleg Vol. 3: Live Around the World is a collection of rare and unreleased live recordings -- it is a travelogue from his earliest days on the road at the Big D Jamboree in Dallas Texas in the 1950's -- through to his becoming an International Superstar and a great statesman ambassador at the White House in Washington, D. C. in the 1970's.
