Es wurde im Herbst letzten Jahres von Jimmy Eat World und Alain Johannes (Mark Lanegan, Chris Cornell) in Los Angeles produziert und von James Brown (Sound City, NIN, The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart) gemixt.
"As you get older it's more interesting to have a theme that everything tries to support – I would say this album has a theme. I would describe it as an attempt at making an adult breakup record." so Sänger Jim Adkins und ergänzt im Interview mit dem Rolling Stone: "I think we're really proud of the record".
