"After Bathing at Baxter's" ist das dritte Album der San Francisco Rockband Jefferson Airplane.
Jefferson Airplane begannen das Jahr 1967 mit Surrealistic Pillow und beendeten es mit After Bathing at Baxter's, und was für einen Unterschied zehn Monate machten. Das Album gehörte zu den reinsten psychedelischen Alben des Rock, es war auch viel gewagter.
Das Album zeigte eine Band, die sich im Umbruch befand, da Sänger/Gitarrist Marty Balin einen Großteil seines kreativen Einflusses auf die Band, die er gegründet hatte, aufgab und Paul Kantner und Grace Slick das Songwriting und den Gesang auf allen Titeln bis auf einen ("Young Girl Sunday Blues") dominieren ließ.
Das Album erreichte 1968 Platz 17 in den Billboard 200. Die Single "Ballad Of You & Me & Pooneil" erreichte 1967 Platz 42 in den Billboard Hot 100.
