Guru Guru were founded by drummer Mani Neumeier and bassist Uli Trepte and UFO is the first of over 25 album releases. It’s a fine example of progressive rock at its most adventurous notable for its intense distorted guitar sounds, disturbing vocals and heavy percussion. Not musical in a traditional sense so not for the faint hearted traditionalist but with a definite structure and imagery which gives it an epic, symphonic, experimental quality which have given it cult status.
