Ellen Foley ist eine US-amerikanische Sängerin und Schauspielerin. Ihre Musik erinnerte stark an die klassische Pop- und Rockmusik der Girlgroups der 60er Jahre. Foleys Bekanntheitsstatus wuchs durch die erfolgreiche Zusammenarbeit mit anderen Musikern wie Meat Loaf, Joe Jackson, Ian Hunter und The Clash.
