nicht schlecht

Eigentlich gehöre ich nicht zu den Menschen, die sich vorab eine Single kaufen, aber die beiden Bonusstücke waren dann genug Anreiz zum wirklich günstigen Preis mir vorab diese Single-CD zu gönnen. Nun, die beiden Live-Aufnahmen stammen aus dem Hard-Rock-Cafe in London aus 2005, welche als Bonus-Konzert der 2006er Montreux-Aufnahmen auf DVD bisher zu hören und sehen waren. Der Sound ist nicht besonders gut.
Aber kommen wir nun zu den Neukompositionen. "All the time..." macht sich ganz gut, sehr angenehmes relaxtes Stück mit guter Stimme und und ebensolcher Instrumentierung. So wie das Stück beginnt und endet deutet einiges darauf hin, dass ein Intro weggeschnitten wurde, ebenso gibts ein "fade out", wo auf der CD/LP noch was kommen könnte. (s. Hinweis Cover: "radio mix edit")
Der Titel der zweiten Neuveröffentlichung deutet schon darauf hin: "Hell to pay" ist Hard-Rock, aber nicht nach meinem Geschmack. Mir ist das zu simpel gestrickt und der Refrain ist mehr was für 15jährige, die auch auf ACDC stehen.
Soundtechnisch liegen die beiden Neukompositionen über dem Durchschnitt. Wäre jetzt noch zu wünschen, dass man doch noch bei Erscheinen des Albums Innovatives und Aufregendes hört. Schließlich sind Single-Auskopplungen bei Purple meist nicht die Highlights eines Albums.
