The third installment from Michael Gira's post-SWANS band. Quiet, loud, delicate and insane. The instrumentation is all over the place, building up from acoustic guitar and voice, then incorporating everything from electronic noise, to banjo and mandolin, bass, drums, electric guitar, lap steel guitar, vibraphones and marimbas, accordian, fiddles, flutes, childrens choir, layered vocal harmonies, piano, trumpets and trombone. It is much different than the first two ANGELS OF LIGHT albums, in fact it is more akin to the great "Annihilator"-era SWANS. This is Gira at his very very best. His sogwriting is his best ever!
