Tracy Flick ist eine karrierefixierte Top-Studentin, nahezu besessen von dem Gedanken, Präsident der Carver High Studentenvertretung zu werden. Der beliebte Lehrer Jim McAllister beschließt, einen Gegenkandidaten zu rekrutieren, um einen Alleingang von Tracy zu verhindern.
