Wishbone Ash erzielten Anfang und Mitte der 1970er Jahre beachtliche Erfolge und gehörten zu den populärsten Hardrock-Bands Englands, die es auf unglaubliche acht Top 40-Alben brachten.
Nach "The Vintage Years" aus dem Jahr 2018, einer 30-Disc-Sammlung des Materials der Band, sind Madfish stolz darauf, eine neu entdeckte klassische Live-Aufnahme aus dem Jahr 1980 zu veröffentlichen, als die Band auf dem Höhepunkt ihrer Kräfte war.
Das neu gemasterte 14-Track-Set wurde im Februar 1980 in der Portsmouth Guildhall, einem der besten Live-Locations des Landes, aufgenommen, um das kürzlich erschienene Album "Just Testing" zu unterstützen. Es enthält Wishbone Ash-Klassiker wie 'Phoenix', 'Blowin' Free' und 'The King Will Come' sowie den regulären Abschluss der Tournee, eine inspirierte Coverversion von Chuck Berrys 'Too Much Monkey Business'.
Die klassische Wishbone Ash-Besetzung besteht aus den Originalmitgliedern Andy Powell (Gesang, Gitarre), Martin Turner (Gesang, Bass), Steve Upton (Schlagzeug) sowie dem Neuzugang Laurie Wisefield (Gesang, Gitarre). Dieses Set zeigt sie in glänzender Form.
