Nach langem Bitten war das Trio, das sonst auf Three Blind Mice veröffentlicht wird, bereit, für Winston Ma von First Impression Music auch eine Aufnahme bei ihm zu Hause in Seattle zu erstellen. Yamamotos Piano wird begleitet von Ken Kaneko am Bass und Toshio Osumi am
Schlagzeug. Viele Formate sind an Winston Ma vorbeigezogen, ohne dass er das Album Autumn in Seattle in einem von ihnen neu veröffentlicht hätte.
XRCD24, K2 HD, DXD - nichts von alledem erschien dem Produzenten angemessen für ein Album, das in Hinblick auf seine Musik sowie auf seine Klangqualitäten als herausragend galt und gilt. Erst 2011, mit Einzug des neuen 32-bit-Ultra-HD-Formats, das für Natürlichkeit und Musikalität steht, wagte sich Ma an die Neuveröffentlichung der analogen Bänder.
