Die Aufnahmen zu "Duets II" fanden in den vergangenen vier Monaten unter der Regie des Produzenten Phil Ramone statt. Das Album ist der Follow-Up zu "Tony Bennett Duets: An American Classic", das 2006 erschien, mit drei Grammys ausgezeichnet wurde und zur erfolgreichsten Veröffentlichung in Bennetts langer und ruhmreicher Karriere wurde.
