Drei CD-Box mit Chick Coreas Klaviermusik, die daran erinnert, dass die bedeutende Solo-Klavier-Tradition bei ECM 1971 mit Coreas spontan aufgenommenen Bänden mit Improvisationen und Jazz-Tunes begann (alle von Chick, außer Monks "Trinkle, Tinkle" und Wayne Shorters "Masqualero").
Die 1983 aufgenommenen "Children's Songs" sind fein ausgearbeitete und doch verspielte Solo-Klavierminiaturen, die sich in die Tradition von Bartóks "Mikrokosmos" und Kurtágs "Játékok" stellen lassen. Die Geigerin Ida Kavafian und der Cellist Fred Sherry begleiten Chick bei einem "Addendum".
Das Booklet enthält Linernotes von Chick Corea und Neil Tesser, sowie Archivfotos.
