Dirigent Riccardo Chailly leitet eine großartige Gesangsbesetzung: Lisette Oropesa verkörpert eine fesselnde Lucia von stimmlicher Raffinesse und emotionaler Tiefe, während Juan Diego Flórez dem Edgardo Eleganz und lyrische Intensität verleiht. Orchester und Chor liefern eine außergewöhnliche Interpretation und schaffen einen »schönen, satten, bedrohlichen Klang« (Bachtrack).
