Diese CD enthält Musik des Komponisten Franz Liszt aus dem Stück »Tom & Jerry in the Garden of Earthly Delights«. Für diese Aufführung hat der Pianist Martin Oei Animationen und Videos in Auftrag gegeben, um das Leben von Franz Liszt zu veranschaulichen. Martins Ziel ist es, einem jüngeren Publikum die klassische Klaviermusik und die bemerkenswerte Rolle, die Liszt im 19. Jahrhundert spielte, näher zu bringen.

Die CD enthält Originalwerke, die monumentale »Sonate in B« (ein sehr typisches Liszt-Stück, in dem die musikalischen Themen die Figuren Mephisto, Gretchen und Faust charakterisieren), die achte Transzendental-Etüde »Wilde Jagd«, Liebestraum, die Dante-Sonate und einige Bearbeitungen. Mit den Bearbeitungen trug Liszt zum Ruhm anderer Komponisten bei.

Für die Aufnahme dieser CD wurde ein originaler Erard-Flügel aus dem Jahr 1846 verwendet. Erard war im 19. Jahrhundert der führende Hersteller von Flügeln und Liszts Lieblingsinstrument.
