Eine absolut überzeugende Interpretation

nicht nur das selten Gehörtes dargeboten wird, es klingt auch wirklich unverschämt gut. Ein Beispiel: Liszt Waldesrauschen. Man hört den Wald wirklich , dagegen klingt Trifonov richtig brav und grob zugleich. Lange nicht mehr so schöne Klavieraufnahme gehört.

phantastische CD

Wunderschöne Zusammenstellung, eine überzeugende Interpretation der Wanderer Fantasie. Klanglich sehr natürlich, dabei durch eine Größe wie Rainer Maillard tontechnisch auf höchstem Niveau. Bravo!

A remarkable musical wandering

This is a beautiful compilation that encompasses the theme of the “Wanderer”, and as such is not tied to a particular composer or style but is rather a refreshing collection of works that is both entertaining and thoughtful. The performance by Jamina Gerl is delightful – her technical proficiency is very clear, as is her passion for the music. The album takes you through a variety of paces and styles, actually a kind of wandering, and impresses with captivating performances throughout.

The recording quality is very satisfying, with rich sounds and clarity when listening with headphones (Bose QC25 in this case).

The packaging and inserts are nicely produced and well thought out. In addition to the descriptions of the pieces and biographical detail, there is nicely written prose about the Wanderer theme. All accompanied with charming artwork in a quality booklet.

Overall this album is very remarkable – the themed selection of music, the engaging performances, and the included notes all come together in a high quality package that can be enjoyed both through focused listening or as background music. I recommend to start by listening closely to the album to really appreciate the technical performance and nuances that might otherwise be missed.
