Das außergewöhnliche musikalische Talent der in Udine (Italien) geborenen del Gobbo wurde schon früh entdeckt. Mit 13 Jahren wurde sie in die Violoncello-Klasse des Konservatoriums Wien aufgenommen und 2012 bewies sie ihre Virtuosität als Finalistin des internationalen Gamben-Wettbewerbs „Principe Francesco Maria Ruspoli“.

Zum 300. Geburtstag von Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach präsentiert sie eine Auswahl der Stücke von deutschen Komponisten aus dem XVIII. Jahrhundert: Georg Friedrich Händel, Carl Friedrich Abel, Georg Philipp Telemann und Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach selbst. Auf der Reise in die Welt der Alten Musik wird sie von dem Cembalisten Ewald Donhoffer begleitet.

„Viola d’Emozione“ ist ein empfehlenswertes Album sowohl für Kenner als auch für Entdecker des zärtlichen Gambenklangs.
