The SACD uses a higher digital resolution than the audio CD and also offers the possibility to store multi-channel sound (surround sound). To enjoy the music in high-end quality, a special SACD player is required. Thanks to the hybrid function, most of the products marked "SACD" in our store can also be played on conventional CD players. In this case, however, the sound does not differ from that of a normal CD. In case of deviations, we point this out separately (non-hybrid).

Der weltberühmte Choir of King’s College Cambridge stellt hier einige besonders schöne Beispiele für englische Anthems vor, die auf tradierte Melodien der Anglikanischen Kirche zurückgehen.
Die Werke gehören sozusagen zum täglichen Brot bei der Gestaltung der Gottesdienste in der ehrwürdigen King’s College Chapel in Cambridge, verfehlen aber auch im Konzert nicht ihre Wirkung. Müßig zu erwähnen, dass jedem der Stücke hier die gleiche Sorgfalt bei der Ausführung gewidmet wird wie den geistlichen Meisterwerken von Bach, Händel oder Mozart.
Als besonderen musikalischen Gast hat man für die vorliegende Aufnahme auf dem choreigenen Label die bekannte Startrompeterin Alison Balsom eingeladen.
