Thanks to the hybrid function, most of the products marked "SACD" in our store can also be played on conventional CD players. Es sind unbestritten die drei wichtigsten Cello-Sonaten der russischen Musik im 20. Jahrhundert: Die Gattungsbeiträge von Prokofiew, Rachmaninow und Schostakowitsch. Unterschiedlicher könnten drei Werke kaum sein, und doch stammen sie aus einer ähnlichen Zeit und von drei Komponisten, die in der Zeit der Komposition ähnliche Lebensumstände hatten. Matt Haimovitz interpretiert diese drei Marksteine des russischen Cello-Repertoires zusammen mit seinem langjährigen Klavierbegleiter Christopher O'Riley auf einem neuen Doppelalbum aus der vielfach ausgezeichneten Oxingale-Reihe des Labels Pentatone.
